Eclipse is a wall light named by the astronomical event that occurs when an astronomical object is temporarily obscured. In this light this phenomenon is interpreted by a blown glass and a ceramic piece. A glowing porcelain hand carved sphere sits inside an engraved glass sphere creating an interplay of light, shadows and texture. Light plays a central role within the work. Light is diffused through the ceramic and glass, creating a rich interaction between the materials and components, bringing the piece to life.
